Corporate Responsibility

We see Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as a viable and necessary part of doing business. The efforts pay dividends in company reputation and profits.

We recognise that virtually all the activities of our company have some impact on the environment, our people, the communities in which we operate, our customers and supply chain, and society in general.

Our aim, as a responsible construction group, is to reduce this adverse impact by approaching our business objectives responsibly and by responding to the different concerns and demands of those affected by our activities, while remaining profitable and competitive.

Quality

We aim to be recognised as an organisation that is both transparent and ethical in its operations embedding CSR into its policies and practices to the benefit of staff as well as the wider community.

We earn social recognition and become the preferred partner with each of its valued clients only by consistently providing products and services of the highest Quality through a process of continuous improvement.

We have instituted an integrated management system, meeting the requirements of ISO9001:2008, the clients and the statutory regulations. These requirements are being delivered through professional standards of quality, safety, environmental and operation management.

Environment

Our construction companies operate in an environmentally and socially responsible manner. We are committed to promoting sustainability.

Concern for the Environment and promoting a broader sustainability agenda are integral to our company’s professional activities and the management of the organisation. We aim to follow and to promote good sustainability practice, to reduce the adverse environmental impacts of all our activities, and to help our clients to do the same.

Our management systems ensure that we have procedures and monitoring in place to manage the activities we undertake. We set ourselves environmental targets each year, to try and improve our annual performance and to raise awareness of the importance of these issues.

Customers and Supply Chain

Our role as both Customer and Supplier brings the potential to help communities, improve outcomes and reduce waste.

As a responsible construction company, we carefully consider our impacts on our clients and our suppliers. While our Group is a supplier to private and public sector clients, we also appreciate our role as a buyer and customer to many other companies.

On many projects we go beyond our customers’ expectations, helping them unlock value with innovative approaches to construction, engineering and service delivery. The regular meeting with customers and subcontractors cover a wide range of topics including environmental, health and safety, sustainability and associated construction-related issues in a bid to provide better project outcomes.

Training and Development

The future of our company lies with its people and we recognise that the demand for a more balanced and integrated workforce at all leves is a priority.

Providing Training and Development opportunities to our workforce is not simply a matter of getting more from our people. We know that work should be challenging, rewarding and stimulating – providing new opportunities to overcome obstacles and develop skills. With this in mind, we make sure that all the staffs across every part of the business have regular opportunities to learn and grow.

The fundamental objective of our training and development philosophy is thus to provide a career development programme for employees who would be in line with the individual needs of the employee as well as with the organisational demands of the Company. We strive to:

  • Establish a culture of learning through training and development. This is intended to equip employees with the necessary skills to facilitate service excellence and the company’s growth objectives
  • Ensure that training and development practices and opportunities are equal for all employees regardless of race or gender;
  • Utilise employees fully in positions for which they are qualified for;
  • Advance existing employees from within the organisation prior to satisfying the needs of the Group externally.
