Shatin New Town, Stage II - Road Works at Area 34 and 52 in Shui Chuen O and Area 56A in Kau To

Peako teamed up with Penta-Ocean to form a Joint Venture which was awarded the contract to form land and infrastructures to facilitate the Sha Tin New Town Stage II residential development in Shui Chuen O and Kau To. Key deliverables included :

• Construction of approximately 2 kilometers of single two-lane carriageway and associated footpaths at Areas 34 and 52 in Shui Chuen O;
• Construction of approximately 2 kilometers of single two-lane carriageway and associated footpaths at Area 56A in Kau To;
• Construction of elevated highway structures and retaining structures;
• Construction of trunk sewers and a new pumping station;
• Widening of To Shek Street;
• Widening of a section of Shui Chuen Au Street;
• Construction of a lay-by in Shui Chuen Au Street;
• Improvement of the road junctions at Sha Tin Wai Road and Ngan Shing Street, at Sha Tin road and Sha Tin Wai Road and at Sha Tin Wai Road and Tai Chung Kiu Road;
• Improvement of the road junctions at Tai Po Road (Ma Liu Shui Section) and Kau To Shan Road and at Tai Po Road (Ma Liu Shui Section) and Lai Ping Road;
• Ancillary works including construction of drainage works, noise barriers, pedestrian crossings, central dividers/traffic islands, retaining walls and slope stabilization works;
• Landscaping works; and
• Other works which are shown on the Drawings or Specified or which may be ordered in accordance with the Conditions of Contract.
